Live Bar, August 8th, French RMC Sports reported that Athens fans were stabbed to death in the conflict before the Champions League qualifying match between AEK Athens and Dinamo in Belgrade.
The match between the two teams will be held tomorrow, but the fans of both sides have already erupted into violent conflicts before the match, causing at least eight people to be injured.
Greek police said that one of the 22-year-old AEK Athens fans was stabbed in the conflict and confirmed to die after being sent to the hospital.
There are many videos circulating on social media. In the video, the football fans in Zagreb took iron rod to the railway station in the Greek capital. Then they went to the stadium and attacked the fans in Athens along the way.
It is reported that the attack was initiated by 150 to 180 Croat fans, who drove to Athens despite the ban of Uefa’s ban on Croat fans (because of the possibility of violence). According to media reports, the police were unprepared for the sudden attack. According to preliminary reports, 96 people have been arrested now.
